Orlando Fringe Festival (Orlando)

This May, we’re thrilled to be a big part of a brand-new show created by our longtime friends and local theater legends, Brandon Roberts & Toni Chandler at the Orlando Fringe Festival — happening all around Loch Haven Park in downtown Orlando!

The River’s Daughter is a folk tale told through song, dance, and circus arts, weaving the story of a forbidden and ill-fated love. Two young lovers escape to the woods to share in their affection—but the boy’s mother, Queen of the Forest, has other plans. Featuring aerial arts, live music, and a tribute to the music of The Decemberists, this stunning new show comes from the creative minds behind 2019’s Le Cirque Nuit.

Venue:
There are multiple venues across the Fringe Festival, each labeled by a color. The River’s Daughter will take place in The Margeson Theater at Orlando Shakes, which is designated as the Orange Venue.

Showtimes:

  • Wednesday, May 14 at 7:55 PM

  • Friday, May 16 at 8:25 PM

  • Sunday, May 18 at 12:15 PM

  • Tuesday, May 20 at 9:25 PM

  • Thursday, May 22 at 8:40 PM

  • Friday, May 23 at 6:05 PM

  • Saturday, May 24 at 9:25 PM

Tickets are $15 and available here: Buy Tickets

To attend any show at Fringe, you’ll also need a Fringe button ($10), which is valid for the entire festival. Proceeds from the button help support the festival itself, while ticket sales go directly to the artists. You can buy your button in advance here: Purchase Fringe Button or pick one up on-site. Conveniently, there is a place right inside the front doors of our designated venue (Orlando Shakes) where you can grab your buttons.

First time Fringing? It’s a two-week celebration packed with shows, art, and creativity! With so much happening, parking and navigating venues can be tricky, so it helps to plan ahead. Visit How to Fringe for tips, maps, and more.

To explore the full festival lineup, visit the official website: OrlandoFringe.org

This show is a little different than what you usually see from us, but it’s beautiful, bold, and a whole lot of fun. Come support local artists and don’t miss this one-of-a-kind experience!
